Love is part of everybody’s life. It usually creeps into our lives so unexpectedly. Do we invite it, or does it invite itself, or even is it an uninvited guest?; we will never know! We always think it will probably stay for the night. Little do we know that love always pops in to say hi. It first has its cup of tea, then eats its dinner, whilst sucking in every bit of energy in our soul and suddenly off it goes. When it’s gone, we invariably think that it will be back soon, that it will ring the bell any moment. When we eventually realise that it won’t be back, it sure is the end of love.

Dora Maar was in love with Picasso, and Picasso with Dora Maar… Dora Maar, a photographer, a painter and a poete, was the woman leaving behind deepest trace in Picasso’s life. She was always portrayed  as the “Weeping woman” in Picasso’s  work as she looked sad and preoccupied. The extraordinary paintings, offspring of their passionate love, went into the History of Arts as unforgettable masterpieces. However, Dora Maar would never be weeping not even for Picasso...

If you ask me, this book is all about love in its purest form.. But, are you ready to discover love in this way, are you courageous enough? That remains to be seen...

Terk etmek

Dalgaların arasından geçtim

Şimdi özgürüm

Yaz mevsimine doğru

Varlığımın gizemini duyuyorum

Bu gizem benim sırrım

Can sıkıntısının gözleri

Çimenlere çevrili

Doğan yeni gün safir mavisi

Ve yanımda durmaktır.
                           Dora Maar, 1990 sonrası.
